Block party! Check out the new Post Grid Block!

A new block has just landed in Atomic Blocks version 1.1.9! We’re excited to announce the Post Grid block. We now have ten awesome blocks available for the Gutenberg editor. Let’s take a quick look at some features of the Post Grid block.

Let’s get griddy

The Post Grid block gives you quick access to a beautiful post grid and post list that can be added to any post or page on your site. The post grid can be configured to toggle on and off the post’s featured image, author name, date, excerpt, and continue reading links. This allows you to quickly and easily customize the posts to fit your site.

Check out grid view and list view of the Post Grid block above. Along with the grid customization options, you can also customize the post order, post category, number of posts, and number of columns in the grid. View a quick demo of the block in action below.

To get started with the new Post Grid block, update Atomic Blocks to the latest version, 1.1.9. You can find the block by typing “post” or “grid” in the block inserter. If you don’t have Atomic Blocks yet, you can download the plugin on our homepage to get the Post Grid block and nine more handy blocks.

If you haven’t had a chance to get started with Gutenberg yet, now is the perfect time. We’ve written a Beginner’s Guide to Gutenberg post to help you learn about the new editor.

We’re excited to see what kind of things you use the Post Grid block for! Please drop us a comment below with your feedback about the new block.

  1. Hi,
    Thank you for this update.

It would be great if an audio player was displayed when it’s a post audio format
(and as an option a buy button).

A good example (perfect for musicians and music label):
Cover + player + buy button

  3. Hi, I don’t see my previous comment, so I’ll try again. I can’t update to 1.1.9 from the WP Repository. Any ETA on that update? Love your product 🙂

    1. Hi Tim,

Thanks for the heads up! Looks like the plugin was stuck in 1.1.8. I’ve just kicked it back into place and version 1.2.0 should be available! Let me know if you run into any other hiccups!

  5. Hey, I really love your plugin and theme, my web looks really good with it. I was just wondering, is there any way to add pagination to post grid block? I use post grid block as a list and there is this limit to 100 posts. Is there any way to do it for example like you do on you “Blog” page? I’d prefer for example 20 posts per page and for more you’d have to switch pages. Thank you!

    1. Hi Tomas,

Thanks for your comment! We don’t have pagination in the post grid block yet, unfortunately. Hopefully it’s something we can get added soon.
